U8-U10 Program Information

Birth Years: 2014-2012

Community programs offer a comprehensive soccer experience for players of all ages and skill levels. Our focus is to create an atmosphere and environment in training and competition where players are challenged to be creative and solve problems. The priority is on the individual player and the development of technically superior soccer players in a fun, rewarding setting. Great importance is placed on age appropriate activities and creating a child-centered learning environment where building the player comes first, then the team.  Players will practice twice a week (on average) throughout the season in an academy style format which US Soccer determined as a “Best Practice.”  We implement and replicate many of the highest standards required by U.S. Soccer.

A six month program: August - October; March - May; teams will meet on average three times/week.

Training Location/Pactice Days

Location: Thompson Park, 5600 Thompson Road, Columbus, OH 43230
Practice Days:  TBD

Game Information

Teams will play in a local league and most games will be scheduled for the weekends.

Three events are included in the full year program fee.  Any event beyond three shall be ala cart.  Any extra event fees will range from $45 - $85/event and will be billed separately at the time of each event.   Extra event fees are only refundable to the extent a refund is received from the event.

For the 2021-2022 season, Sporting Columbus will be in year two of a two-year uniform cycle.  Returning players will only need to order a new training jersey and any items based on need.  New players will need to order a full kit.  Uniform orders are placed online.  After you pay your deposit, soccer.com will send an instruction e-mail to all players regarding the uniform process.  Returning players will maintain their current number; uniform numbers for new players will be randomly assigned.  This process will begin at the end of June.

$950 ($150/deposit with monthly payments thereafter starting August 1) - this includes but is not limited to practices (outdoors, indoors, in person and/or online), friendlies and/or games and three events.  These fees do not include travel and/or uniforms.  The fee will be available through July 15.

Registration Process

All players are welcome - there are no tryouts for these age groups; however, registration will close July 15 and then you will need permission from the head coach.  This is because scheduling of games will begin for the fall and coaches will need to know how many games to schedule.

Registration is open to current Sporting Columbus players.  Registration will open to non-Sporting Columbus players May 11.

Click here to register (either log in to your account or create a new account for new families and then choose 7v7 Program - 2021-2022). For new accounts, please be sure the player is listed as a household member prior to starting the registration.
