Tom is a former professional soccer player with extensive experience. After playing at SMU, where he was a 4 year starter, he was drafted by DC United in the second round of the 1997 MLS College Draft. He played for DC United from 97-00 and Columbus Crew SC 01-03. During his playing career he earned honors such as MLS Cup Champion, MLS Cup Finalist, Concacaf Cup Champion, US Open Cup Champion, and MLS All-Star. He enjoys coaching youth soccer where he likes being a positive influence in the lives of children.
